  • Out of todays matches i think Williams is the only clear favourite who you'd comfortably expect to win. Ford hasnt been having great results recently and Williams seems to be on his way back up to re-establishing himself as a top 16 player..

The other matches could go either way. It a shame that half of these have to be knocked out; Lee, Trump, Harold, Wenbo, Hamilton and Walden as id like to see them all there at The Crucible....

          • Good for Williams! Hope he gets through & sustain the form he's been showing this morning at the Crucible. C'MON Mark!

            • Wenbo is a good front runner

Harold going out i am afraid.

Fergal has blown a big 4-1 lead vs burnett and will probs lose now

              • I dont think i have ever seen harold make a big comeback before, his game does not suit it.

a little premature to be saying Harold looks to be going out. Long way to go yet & many a player has come back from 6-3 behind!

                    Not a chance, trust me.

Wenbo is an awesome talent and punishes mistakes.

If he can improve his safety he can break the top 16.

Also through in the fact that Harold has been poor in the last few months, losses to mcleod doesnt give confindence.

Since he's not the type of the player who can reel off a few centuries he doesn't really have a comeback game. However, he was 4-0 down to Parrott once and came back to win 5-4.

                        Yes, agree.

wenbo is a high scoring break builder, dave makes 1 mistake and its 7-3 and looking bleak.

I dont doubt Wenbo's ability in the slightest & yes he looks like he will get through, i just think it's a little too early to be saying Harold looks on his way out just yet as anything can happen!

I would of thought dave would come out and play a negative game, try to frustrate wenbo, make him go for long pots and so on and clean up but it seems liang is fired up today, no mistakes.

                            • If Harold is going to win he's going to need a little help from Wenbo at this stage.

                              • A break of 145 by Williams.

Did anyone attend the match? If so did he try to make a maximum and failed for some reason?

P.S.: Does anyone know Liang Wenbo's career centuries? They seem to be coming all the time!
