Oh... My 5.5 points are from 5 matches as well. I guess predicting Hendry to win would have given me an extra point but other than that, you had to have a lot of 2's and 1.5's to get to 8.5 Well done.
Well done Stephen Hendry who found some form in the last quarter of the match. Bit of a heartache for Mark Williams suffereing tips problems and obviously insecure with the newly retipped cue. Entertaining match full of drama, twists and turn even if it was a bit of a misfest at times.
Well done also to Graeme Dott who showed his battling qualities once again.
THe first tip Mark had on looked to me like a layered tip, it was very thick, brown on the side.
Can't see why anyone would use a new tip for the world championship though if they are not 100% comfortable with it.

??? Mark had to retip DURING the match. After frame 12 (third in sesh 2) , the MSI was taken by agreement of both players because his tip was apparantly loose...
John Parrot ( I believe it was him commentating the match ) said that he always has several worn-in tips with him during the tournaments in case something like this happens. I mean that he has several tips that he can trust and has the right feel in them. Can a player have several eqully trustworthy tips at the same time?
The tip he had on looked really new as it was really thick, and he did not seem comfortable with it from the on set. He kept looking at it and touching it in between shots. I am not sure if he just had that put on before the tournament or what. But for a tournament this important, I would think he had a tip he could trust put on by someone he trusted way before hand so he could get used to it.
If it is a bit loose, and it is a tip he likes, he could just glue it back on without having to get a new tip. I am not sure if he switched to another new tip, anyone knows? Did the other tip he put on later had a brown edge or a blue edge?
I'm watching Gould v Allen on interactive - and i can hear the other two commentators from the other table as well as hearing the commentators from this match too! Anyone else having the same problem?
"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White
