I'm getting the impression that Davis is getting to Neil yet again.... Getting that last red must have been a relief.

You're wrong, he's always played like that.

If you watch the videos of Marco Fu, in the last year and a half, he has always been playing with some feathering and a shorter bridge. He usually took about the same number of feathers, especially in the earlier part of his break before he crossed over the finish line. Once he is in the groove, sometimes he will have very little feather but still he feathered.

When he first went over to the UK, he had no feathering, held the cue at the very butt end, played quite fast, and lift his head up everytime he follow through--but then he took lessons from Terry and he changed that and he was getting finally good results.

When I watched him play yesterday, he again had no feathering at all, and was using a longer bridge. Almost had that Dave Harold type of timing. I am just wondering if he was perhaps trying to go back to his old timing.

Yes, but he had to play the red with lots of right hand side to stay on the black, that's why he missed it.He could stun the other red into the same pocket for the black, but he didn't want to play with the rest.
