    • Thanks, hege and spike! Would have been nice to be able to watch it, though.
ADR, judging from the first sesh, I quite agree. Who knows, there's room for improvement.I mean, can't get worse now, can it?

totally agree but then Michaela is still mentioned as the first woman which can be misconstrued - depends on your viewpoint i suppose and if theyre no offended by it why should we be?

          • Certainly isn't. I thought Gerard would push Ali close. To be fair, he has had no run of the balls whatsoever - when he has missed, he has set Ali up and not been left much when the reverse happens. Carter has a couple of big flukes in first few frames.

            • I believe Virgo said Ronnie made 9 breaks over 70?

If he could come out of this 6-3 behind he will have done quite well considering. This had the potential to be a closer match than the way it's going at present.

                • Thorne said about Ronnie needing to improve - personally I thought he played very well aside from the long shots - and that didn't stop him winning last year. His play in the balls was very good. Bingham did let him in too much however and you need to not be gifting chances to Ronnie - assuming Mark Allen gets through, that would be my concern in the next match - Mark will need to make the most of his chances and be potting the long ones as he often does, but needs to also compete in safety play.

Greene looks a bit shaken - missed a black off the spot, got back in with a good pot on a red and then missed a standard yellow.

Yes i suppose your right....i just didn't expect Rob to say that and it just sounded kinda strange that's all.

                    • I expect a good start from Mark King tomorrow. His second session last year was also in the morning and he came out of the traps well after trailing Selby overnight. He's all square with an opponent he probably doesn't like very much after today, but there's only one winner in the scrappy frames. King will be fired up. He has the experience at the Crucible

                      • Good 1st day in my opinion. Greene is in the balls at 62-0 up after a mistake from Carter hopefully a fightback is on!!

                        • If Greene can win this last frame of this session he's still in with a chance of winning. C'mon on Gerard!

yeah 2-7 seems unlikely huh spike? carter very unlucky to be on nothing when powering into the reds. Greene has a lot of support
