Certainly isn't. I thought Gerard would push Ali close. To be fair, he has had no run of the balls whatsoever - when he has missed, he has set Ali up and not been left much when the reverse happens. Carter has a couple of big flukes in first few frames.

Thorne said about Ronnie needing to improve - personally I thought he played very well aside from the long shots - and that didn't stop him winning last year. His play in the balls was very good. Bingham did let him in too much however and you need to not be gifting chances to Ronnie - assuming Mark Allen gets through, that would be my concern in the next match - Mark will need to make the most of his chances and be potting the long ones as he often does, but needs to also compete in safety play.
Greene looks a bit shaken - missed a black off the spot, got back in with a good pot on a red and then missed a standard yellow.

I expect a good start from Mark King tomorrow. His second session last year was also in the morning and he came out of the traps well after trailing Selby overnight. He's all square with an opponent he probably doesn't like very much after today, but there's only one winner in the scrappy frames. King will be fired up. He has the experience at the Cruciblesigpic

Good 1st day in my opinion. Greene is in the balls at 62-0 up after a mistake from Carter hopefully a fightback is on!!Always play snooker with a smile on your face...You never know when you'll pot your last ball.

You trying to say that someone in Crucible is able to overscream Kathrin in supporting?
Roy, Roy. :shakes head:Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman
