Hendry is a true gentleman, with no luck for Stephen and outrageuos fluke for Mark, he wants to have a break so that Mark can fix his tip

I disagree - this was always going to be a problem match for them - the winner will just be glad to get through and relax - it is uncommon for those who play the best snooker of the 1st round to go on and win it - (i.e. Maguire) I think whoever goes through will play much better - Hendry struggled in the early part of his match against allen last year and was a tad fortunate to get through and then destroyed Ding in the 2nd round.

He has been suggesting that since the first session. I mean didn't he have time to fix it between yesterday and today? He surely have practiced with it and how come he didn't notice anything strange before the match?

Mark's using a laminated tip and apparently it hasn't been kind to him & keeps delaminating. He continued the last frame & a half of yesterday's session with obvious problems with his tip.

Nothing to do with class, sportsmanship or friendship in my opinion. It's any player's right to get a break to fix tip problems as far as I know. But in fairness to Stephen he seemed to be the one mentioning it to Mark & the ref.

Finally some good stuff in the match. The way Stephen poted the red avoiding the brown to get on the black was superb. Hopefully we have a match on.
