Oh I see. Im sure they'll play it out to the end and if it makes others run late then so be it. Not entirely sure though.

Normally it would be put back on the first available table at the end of the evening session on Monday.

surely it would be sunday night rather than monday??

Best match of the day this one in terms of entertainment - there seems to be a bit of niggle between the two players giving it an entertaining edge

Last year Carter - Hawkins was brought off at 9-9. After Hawkins had come from 9-6 down to level with only the last frame to play it was a bit controversial - How things could have been so different - Carter could have been beat in the first round and he wouldn't have come into this season with so much confidence.
I think they came back at the end of the evening session, so I'd imagine that would happen to King - McLeod - It surely will be a bit faster, but it does look likely that it will not finish in the morning.

Yes your right there that's what would happen.

the king v McLeod match will be concluded at the end of play tomorrow evening on whichever table will become available first.....

rules at the crucible state if a frame doesn't start by 45 minutes before the start of the next session they will be brought off.....

however if they start a frame with 50 minutes to go and its a long frame then the next session will be delayed.

Could well be a late night then.

Is there a time limit on frames? Hypothetically say if two players decided not to pot balls for whatever reason and just knocked them around, would they forfeit the frame after so long?

I think there is a rule about a stalemate where the referee will intervene when such a situation does occur.
