Just heard that this years tournament will now finish at the end of July to allow Rory Mcleod to keep on taking half hour over every shot thats a 2 foot pot ffs.

I know some players are slow and play a tight tactical game and that itself can be interesting but this is not on. Sorry but he had a green in the 7th frame off the spot and it took him 50 seconds to take it on.

Well he's a a bit of a grinder journeyman and known to be one of the slower players on the whole tour so nothing to be surprised about really. Don't think it's a tactical thing to be honest as this is how he always plays from what I've heard. First played ten straight years on the PIOS, now eight straight years on the main tour.

I reckon if he needed 30 snookers, he'd play on lol

im all for safety battles but this is ridiculous...

youd think they wouldnt be so stubborn in conceding given they had to start at 3-3 and allen v gould went to a mid session at it finally creeped to 4-4

            bleed it dry guys

They have been playing for 4 more hours than Allen - Gould and only played 4 more frames!

I'm all for allowing all kinds of play, be it tactical, potting etc but McLeod is blatantly playing unsportingly IMO. Selby has done this in the past but at least when he's in the balls he gets into a rythmn but this guy is slow on every shot. He makes Ebdon look like O'Sullivan on speed!

A really dull match but the thing that's struck me more than anything...............has anyone else noticed the mushroom tip King is using.....seems to big for the ferrule almost like....11mm tip on a 9mm ferrule..........rather than a nice 10mm on a 9.5mm...........crazy........but then if it works for him i suppose.....horses for courses.........

That's why i'm watching the Gould - Allen match.

Why didn't King just screw back for the black off that last red - then he'd be 68 in front with only 67 left instead of 66 in front. Does look like King will win convincingly enough now, but not before they come on after tonights match.

McLeod is playing on when he has no chance - he even asked the ref if they were starting another frame - llooks like he wants to guarantee he is still in the tournament until this evening. He knows he is now getting badly beat and he is playing on with FIVE snookers required. He has done it all match and I don't think he has even got close to it. I know King has as well on a couple of occasions, but I think King is doing it as a way of getting a bit of comeback.

I remember Alain Robidoux playing for a large number of snookers with just the pink and black on the table against Ronnie O'Sullivan in 1996.
