Wasn't pretty to watch at times that's for sure. Still it looks very good for King now!

I know King has as well on a couple of occasions, but I think King is doing it as a way of getting a bit of comeback.
I think for the good of the game they should bring in a rule about how many snookers players are allowed to play on for as it gets beyond a joke to be fair. I would say once you need more than 3 snookers then the frame should be awarded to your opponent. Realistically at this level players do not lose frames from this far in front so its a waste of time and when other matches are scheduled its unfair for players to play this gamesmanship which is all they are gaining from it.

With the current rules if a player was on a 147 and missed the final pink, there would be nothing to stop the other playing from playing for snookers. This issue is a bit like Quentin Hann's break-off shots, unsporting maybe but completely within the rules and I don't think setting an arbitrary limit on the number of snookers would be fair as even though it's not likely there is always the possibility of getting them in the same way it's possible that Hann could have potted a red of the break and won the frame from that.

I agree here, if its against a great player and your using as a tactic its ok but overuse of it ruins it for the fans and seems bad for the sport.

A player is fully and rightly entitled to play for as many snookers as he needs, while there remain balls on the table to do so.

If the other player, who is ahead, wishes to finish the frame and get on with the next, then all he needs to do is pot the remaining balls up to the pink. Nothing but his own limitations and the skill of his opponent is preventing him from doing so. Until he has been able to do that, his opponent is entitled to compete and aim to win.

We don’t stop football matches after 70 minutes because one team is 3 or 4 goals ahead.

I am hoping they get on at midnight and McLeod makes a sterling, but slow comeback.

Very true and right in my opinion but you must agree Mcleod is playing on when he has too much to do, if he was higgins or ronnie with such a good saftey game I'd understand it but he'd be better off accepting he has lost a frame and concentrate on the next.

A win for King will all but keep him his place in the top 16 next year.

Dunno I fell alseep around about that frame, is it not over yet?

I don't know about double ranking points for the winner, personally I'd give the winner a medal.

lol its less of a snooker match now and more of a question who will die of old age first.

Probably a bit unfair for King to be pegged in the same category as McLeod who has played not only slowly, but played on when he had no chance and also played negatively. At least King has gone for it and he deservedly leads.
