Yeah i did think he looked too aggressive about it, and it looked as though he gave Barry Hawkins a fiesty gesture. Barry should of ripped that plaster off his chin and stamped on it

Hawkins and Dott actually got on well during the game. You guy's need to read less into things.

I've never seen Dott be a bad sport, I'm not saying he's a good sport either, but I remember him handling himself well after Ronnie beat him in the 2004 final. And I agree he doesn't get much respect, the man is an amazing tactical player, if he brings his A game he can just tie players in knots with his safties, I respect him, even though I prefer, faster, more attacking players. He's won the World championship, and he's a tough match-up for anyone.

Dott actually plays much faster nowadays than before. His tactical play is very good which (i think) plays a major part in his success. Also he's very strong mentally. He's not much of a break-builder (compared to Hendry or Higgins) but still can compete at the very highest level. He's different and that's not a bad thing.

Monique the fact he is short and small with a high pitched voice isnt a concern anyones brought up except you...it really isnt a problem (for me at least)

Thanks for that RocketRoy. I'll have a look for your thread. I do agree with you about the kissing the trophy and the shouting and I can't put my finger on why I dislike him really. I'm just not really keen on his attitude to the game. Opinion is very divided on here, which is very interesting. Lots of people think it's fine but some seem to agree with my original post...

Hendry did much the same as Dott after beating Ding, maybe worse, but its understandable. These guys, all of them, play under extreme pressure so for me its a perfectly acceptable release.

I'm all for players "expressing" themselves after winning an important match such as Hendry's tonight, and Dott's match with Hawkin's included. Would like to see more players do that in the world of Professional Snooker today.

i have to agree with monique on this topic you see dott little guy high pitch voice bit feminine and people get the green eyed monster hate people who are a bit different doing well the kind of person who isnt comfy with themselfs and you to take it out on people who look easy targets.
