    Discuss!

Ding vs Hendry and Allen vs Ronnie looks like two crackers on paper. I think Murphy vs Fu can be something extra too, if Shaun gets better from his sickness and divorce and all.

Im Really looking forward to the Ronnie - Allen match and even more so in the Ding Hendry match, I really hope Ding can give Hendry more of a game this time, should be great.

Ding - Hendry has all the potential of being a high quality affair - but i just favour Ding to come through. I thought he showed good form against Liang at times, & if he can keep his composure there is no reason he cant go far in the Championship..

I also agree that if Ding plays to his form he should win against Hendry. If Ding loses, he would have lost to himself. I do notice in his earlier match he seemed to have some lapse of concentration or whatever, that stopped him form playing to the standards he was capable of--but then he was able to snap out of it and played better at the end.
Perhaps longer match format would help him to have a bigger margin against this kind of problem, which by far seems to be the main issue stopping him form winning.
Wouldn't it be something to see Ding and Ronnie in the final???? The rating would go over the roof!

Looking at the draw i think there's going to be some close matches in the R2. Ali v Robbo, Fu v Murphy, Selby v Dott, maybe Hendry v Ding too. I hope that Allen beats Ronnie, i'm also backing Hendry and Maguire. Dott will beat Selby of course (I've put my money on him) Jamie Cope's match is also one to watch. Interesting!

yes i wouldn't mind that at all.....as long as Ronnie doesn't end up "dominating" to the point it ends up being a one sided final....that is my only concern. lets not forget the '2007 Masters final & then the first round of the 2007 World Championship' where he lost heavily to O' Sullivan 10-2.

                Totally agree with you there.
The viewers in China, millions of them, I am sure would stay up all night watching it, if this being the case, just to see if Ding could revenge his heavy losses.
If Ding plays to his standards, he should not be totally dominated by anyone. He is his own worst enemy, but he will get over it and come out stronger I am sure.

You are just kidding yourself discussing something that is utterly impossible. We all know Ding will never get past the second round (I hope).

                    Who is "we?"

How do you "know" for certain?

I guess we will find out if you are right after tomorrow.

One question: Should Junhui progress to the Quarters, can he possibly win the title? Everyone is always saying how he's going to be a Champion one day and this time is as good as any. Hendry won't be easy to pass but you've just got to favour Junhui. I'm hoping that Ding will get to the final
Mark Allen and Robertson looks good today but I can see Ronnie running away with the match 13-5. I don't know why, but I never thought too highly of Mark Allen.

Marco Fu V. Shaun Murphy - please let Marco win.
                      只讓我們相戀 這一季的秋天, 飄落後才發現 這幸福的碎片。要我怎麼撿。

I seriously hope that too. He's playing well, we saw that in his first match. I've never been too much of a Murphy fan. But he's a dangerous opponent. It's time for the revenge for Marco, losing the UK final.

The bookies seem to favor Ding over Hendry. Besides, Ding has a good record over Hendry. Long match format also favors Ding, who sometimes take a bit of time to settle in. Furthermore, Ding is going in with confidence and a hugh load off his shoulder being in the top 16...so, I think Ding has a very good chance winning this match.

If he can play his game to his true standard he can beat anyone, but it is really anyone's title.

In Snooker, it doesn´t get any bigger than Hendry at the Crucible.

Enjoy every second of it! Go Maestro!

Ding is not too imrpessive in safety deparments, so Stephen will has his chances. It's all going to about weather he can make the most or them or miss the easy shots he has been missing.
