The way John played the last three frames was the most focused snooker I've seen since he cleared up to win the Masters final in 2006. When John Higgins is this determined at the table he almost scares me. Unbelievable snooker the last three frames. These are two of my absolute favourite players so it was a bit cruel.

Congrats to John!
He showed his class in this last frame and under such a pressure he seemed quite composed
and well done to Cope he knows what he is capable of, I'll keep a close eye on him in the next season.Winner of the China Open Fantasy Game 2010
Winner of the 2010 Shanghai Masters Lucky Dip

Fantastic performance. Class and a half. The bookies will still make selby and maguire the favourites for some reason. Higgins price went out to 20-1 when he was 12-10 down. Wont be that now people!I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

Great match and im very glad for John, he made a superb comeback and didnt gave Cope to many chances in the last 3 frames. Indeed as others said before it was the match of the tournament so far.
I think Jonh will get mementum from this win and he will be even stronger in the quarters."There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White

Best Match AGREED!
What a WC... got everything including early knockouts of the reigning Champ by a young upstart... sterling performances by legendary Hendry... even fainters in the audience!
I had thought this would be a Ronnie or Robbo WC... now since the consumate pro, Higgins has taken over the "Old Guard WC Champions" role this year (Hendry unlikely to carry form through I suspect), the wildchildcard is Allen. He will need even better performances than in his win over a hampered genius to best Ryan or Mark or Neil or John or Shaun.
Cracks up to be more of a thriller in the days to come!

Jamie Cope will have nightmares about the white rolling off on the slate line as he attempted to tuck in behind the yellow.
That can always happen though.
I remember seeing it happen to Ken Doherty in the early stages of his 2003 semi-final against Paul Hunter. It was instrumental in unsettling Ken and allowing Paul to build a big lead. The difference there was that Ken had time to get over it and he eventually won the match 17-16 from 15-9 behind going into the final session.
Cope didn't have time to get it out of his mind. He is only young but is already battle scarred from the crucible having lost 10-9 to Ebdon in the 1st round last year having been a pot away from winning."And slowly and surely they drew their plans against us"

I didn't think anything could beat the Hendry-Ding match, but this was awesome. It was the best 2nd round match in quality as well as excitement.
What a player John Higgins is. To find that extra gear under such pressure... Didn't put a foot wrong in the last three frames and every safety was spot on. Very similar to the O'Sullivan-Allen match, but with a different result.
