Believe me, I would have been just as annoyed with anyone, be it a supporter of ROS, Allen, Higgins or Dott. Whatever. Let's not turn it into another "if it had been ROS" thing. It was out of line, but I guess the gentleman in question might not be a regular snooker fan.

When that inept person shouted "Come on, Mark!", Maguire's face showed how much he wanted to jump over some rows and throw a punch.
I pictured the entire scene and it was utterly satisfying.
It's not appropriate, it's not polite, it's not decent to do that. I watch snooker precisely for that: fans who know how to respect their player and his adversary. If I wanted to hear yelling, roaring and other inarticulate sounds, I'd watch football. So in my opinion it's never ok to shout like that during the two-table format, irrespective of who's playing.
And next time Ronnie's supporters do that, I will picture RO'S do same thing Maguire wanted to.

With both second round matches drawn at 4 each only Hendry will sleep well tonight, 2 vintage clearences will give him some much needed confidence while Ding will feel he missed maybe a 6-2 lead.
Ronnie got out of jail bigtime and he can comfort himself with the fact he cant perform as badly tomorrow but those close range misses that always prove costly will cause a few hours of concern before he drops into a fitful sleep.
Mark will be haunted by some real bad luck and some letoff misses, on this evidence both matches will go deep into the third session which pleases me enormously.

Nice to see the cloth is finally up to speed, but those pockets are a disgrace.

I dont know whether they record flukes but Ive seen more than Hendry has ranking titles and we are barely a third of the way through.
Love to hear World snookers explanation for that!

Looking at the draw we could have 7 different nationalities in the last 8. Surely a record.

Did he say that in commentary box? If he did, those who heard that knew immediately that it would be any other scoreline in the end...

                        • Watching the Day v Bond game, I might get aggressive if I keep hearing "too good a player not to" and "so aggressive". That having been said, looks like it might be a tight match, Bond's not playing badly at all and Ryan has upped his game since the last match.

                          3-1 to Day, though

                          • What an entertaining match we have here. Perhaps the highest standard seen in this championship?

Ding is playing so much better than he did last year, 90% long pot success after 12 frames is very, very good.

                            • The occasional sloppy positional shot is still costing Ding dearly though. He should really be ahead.
