It seems to me he has got his head sorted for the first time in years and to see both in the final would be a dream for snooker and me.

If Hendry doesnt have a relapse then it would be a final that could go either way.
Im not counting Hendry out of anything, he seems to have that look again

        • Stephen's the best player who ever lived

I know, I watched him win all his titles in the 1990s

And he proved it once again tonight

          • Some guy walked into a betting shop yesterday and laid out £26 ooo on ding to win at 8/13.

            Big mistake.

any idea which match freeview will show tomorrow afternoon as football scors are on 301

do you think they will show robbo match or bond match on 302 ?
301 shows the matches on table 1 so thats the Day/Bond match. The bbc will probably have live coverage of Robertson/Carter anyway.

i bet that guy wont be too happy with hendry for playing so well.

Great to see hendry playing so well again.

Ding is unlucky though that all the real giants of the game seem to play their best against him. O sullivan, higgins and Hendry have all played fantastically well against him now. I guess he can take it as a compliment. I believe in Ding though and think he will end up stronger for this in the long run. As long as he keeps bouncing back, which he seems to be doing more successfully again now.

He was playing great stuff and showed good temprament.

                    • Hendry was playing his best. I felt like watching the Hendry in the 90's in that last Ding vs Hendry session when he potted everything in sight. Ding played very well I think. He is a very solid top player in my book. It could have gone either way even with Hendry playing in top form.

                      • I believe Hendry can win it!
The way he played against Ding proved that.
I bet on him before World Championship started.
Where are all that “experts” who said: “Hendry is finished” and rubbish like that?
I don’t think Hendry-Murphy clash will be boring as some people say.
                        That is complete nonsense.
Murphy is playing fantastic snooker against Fu.
I’m not loving Shaun. But cannot understand all this hatred to Murphy. The way he was treated yesterday was embarassing.
I think people who don’t respect other players should be immediately removed from the arena.

I am expecting “the big 8″ in the quarters.
What a fantastic quarters would be:
                        O’Sullivan-Day
                        Higgins-Selby
                        Murphy-Hendry
                        Carter-Maguire.
But watch out for Graeme Dott!He is a so determined and he can upset Selby.

                        • im very sad for ding.
as it was said above me, all top players seemed to play their best against him.
ding played very good as well, but i have to give credit to hendry, i think i can count on my hand the number of missed pots he had.

really wanted ding to get through...

btw, did you notice how many smiles ding was showing? he is more emotionally open, but i prefer his robot-style back.

You´ve got to love it when people say "the only person who can beat Ding i himself.... if he plays up to his standard, Hendry stands no chance..."

You must be an extremely ignorant to say that when a man who has won at the C seven times i Dings opponent, especially since Hendry crushed him last year!
Couldn't agree more. I said from before the start that Hendry's hardest match would be against Williams and as O'Sullivan isn't in his half or quarter that if he beat Williams, he'd be dangerous - this is the WC after all and he'd get to the semis at least, so hopefully he'll carry on with that form.

Others were saying 'if Ding plays to his best, he'll win' and all that - but as I said if they both play to their best, Hendry would win! Hendry didn't play great (still played well) in the first session, but held in there and got better as the match went on and it was rolling back the years in the last session. So, he has the confidence back - can he keep it and perform next match?

A little premature and euphoric me think, he just passed the second round.
He is playing well but the more serious work is yet to begin.
I saw that going differently in my mind
