I think something needs to be done about the schedualing of matches. Mark King finished his match last Sunday and has had to wait a whole to week to play Maguire who finished thursday night. Surely that can't be fair on King. Same goes for Carter who also finished on Sunday and will play someone who finished on Wednesday.

Tough thing to do though. It is such a long tournament, you don't want people backing up after one day in the early stages. I must sayits not ideal on either those players who are 'cold,' but I think they'd prefer an extended break considering that they played a best of 19 rather than a best of 9.

It doesn't matter any way, Carter will win eitehr way.

Day certainly didn't get past him in the Masters or the NI trophy!!! Day is playing well however and Allen can't relax and thing he has done it now.

I disagree about the easy openings - lots of the clearances Allen required a lot of work and conversely how often in the last two seasons have we seen Ronnie scrape through matches when his opponents have gifted him 'easy' chances. I say it myself about players who miss the boat, but you have to take your chances.

This is one reason I have freesat. It's just like freeview but with a dish and you get full coverage of all matches.

I think emotions showing by Graeme was great.He was almost on the bottom during this season.So his win against Barry was response to people who said that he is finished.
I see little difference between Allen's reactions today.He should learn some respect to other players. Specially when he is winning with great style like today.

Carter seems sort of out of form out there, wonder what is happening. If he wins this last frame he can end the seesion 4-4, but he just missed a black off the spot. Will see what happens.
