I've just watched Ronnie's post match interview, and what a surprise! Whinge, moan, depression, not enjoying playing, thinking about future in the game, didn't play well..... yada yada yada yah. I'm absolutely sick to death of his whining and whingeing after every single defeat he suffers, It's embarrassing. It's also amazing how this 'clinical' depression of his only ever surfaces when he's lost. I guarantee that if he'd won against Allen, he'd have been laughing and joking with the press at the PMI, and telling us all how much he's enjoying life and the game. Why doesn't he act lake a man, and take it on the chin, he lost to a better player on the day, end of story, instead of all these pathetic excuses and sob stories. GROW UP MAN!
And as for his continual threats/promises to leave the game altogether, he should either put up, or shut up.
I'm now thoroughly looking forward to 9 days of 'Osullivan antics' free snooker.

Can you tell me please WHERE in this interview Ronnie is speaking of depression? WHERE he spoke of the future of the game?
He hasn't. I am sick and tired of people making things up for the sake of rubbishing him. You don't like him. fair enough. But keep it to facts.
On the other hand he did praise hi opponent. He said he was the better, played brilliantly, deserved to win and could very well take the trophy.

Also if he is repetitive, what about others? Pretty stereotyped interviews for most. You could aswell swap the audios between matches and players for most of them.

terrible really, its only the 2nd frame of the match and is really doing the game no good. There has to be an element of entertainment for any sport and this as I predicted earlier I knew it was going to be a borefest.

I enjoyed it. Nothing wrong with a quality tactical game, which that certainly was.

Indeed, and you haven't answered my questions because you can't... there is absolutely nothing about depression or future of the game there. The only "excuse" there is in there is "I played poorly". Well that's an assesment, not an excuse.
As for not enjoying the game when he plays poorly and struggling with his game, well that's only the truth. Do you really thinks the others do when it happens to them? Do you really think Hendry enjoyed his game for most of the season? Get real!
Everyone is complaining about lack of character but when players do speak from the heart instead of repeating inocuitous banalities, interview after interview they get criticised. If it isn't appropriate for them to say those things, then it's no point to have postmatch interviews especially minutes after the match when they are understandably emotional, be it joy or disapointment.

No one's mentioned the Selby-Dott match in a while, so I think I will.
The word scrappy does spring to mind! However, Mark upped his game a little to pull out some nice breaks towards the end of the session, finishing with a century.

He leads 6-2.

more than scrappy ... error strewn at least before MSI. To the point it was hilarious at times. But afterwards while Mark was able to up his game, Graeme continued to struggle and, as often when a player is struggling, got some pretty bad run of the balls aswell.

OK, I wasn't quoting any particular interview in my original post, you can tell that from the lack of quotation marks, or the phrase "and I quote". My complaint was and is about his loosing post match interviewS, past and yes, including this one.

So, to yesterdays interview:

AND I QUOTE

"I still might have to try and find reasons to wanna come and play"
yet another vailed threat of quitting.

"It's hard, I find it hard, I find it really really hard"
Refuring to depression once AGAIN.

"I try and find reasons to carry on, I do, I must admit I try an find positives in w-why (wipes away little tear) I should carry on, erm, none of'em are because I'm enjoying it, all of'em are cause of whatever, y'know, family"
Fine, give it up then

Sympathy seeking depression thing AGAIN.

Graeme played awful and 6-2 is probably about right although he did miss frame ball in the 2nd. Don't think its over just yet as 6-2 may seem big but Selby is still a long from the winning line.
