Exhibit A1, close win: "I'm delighed to have won, my adversary is a worthy opponent, he has put me under a lot of pressure, especially when getting close to the winning line and you know that last frame is always the hardest to win. I'm looking forward to the rest of the tournament and everybody in it has a chance to win it, they are all good players."
Exhibit A2, demolition win: "Yes, I'm pleased with the way I played, he could have made things a lot more difficult for me, my game was in decent form tonight but make no mistake, everybody left in the tournament is in it with a chance to win."
Exhibit B1, close loss: "Sometimes things go this way and it's winning the scrappy frames that matters. He handled pressure a bit better, fair play to him but everybody still in the tournament has a chance to win it."
Exhibit B2, heavy loss: "I wasn't very much there, couldn't get going and didn't put him under any pressure but not to take anything from him, he played great (it's common knowledge that players and commentators totally dislike the 'ly' ending that defines adverbs ) and he's still in the tournament so best of luck to him but make no mistake, everyone left in it has a good chance to win it."

And they should read off them in a monotonous, dry tone of voice and try to control their facial expressions as well as they can. This way, no one would ever complain about post-matches, in any way whatsoever.

Total taboos: WS, money, the state of the circuit, the state of tables, cushions and pockets, the tournament scheduling, references to personal life, any mention of matters off-table.
Recommended: WS is doing a great job, snooker is developing outside the UK, the 6-red idea is a wonderful one, I love it here, it's a great venue and a terrific atmosphere, we all get along like brothers in the circuit, we're one big happy family.
The WSA better see this one They'd hire you in no time & you'll make loads of money as their PR representative

I did. Quite slow and somewhat scrappy as expected. I think King should have won the session as he played a bit better, he will find it hard to stay with Maguire if he finds his form.

I did & enjoyed it... Great to see King giving Maguire a good run. The safety level is amazing by both

I did. Wish I'd done something sensible instead, like watching paint dry or read the Harry Potter books backwards.

@Black_cat: Spot on! However, players should at all times take great care to mention the names of the sponsors and thank them as well as recommend the great city they are in.

              • Cant believe the amount of balls Robertson is missing so far tonight!

The 10th frame was unbelievable really. I don't remember a frame with so many mistakes from both players in the last years.

Yes quite amazing! Hopefully the standard will improve but just as i say that Robertson misses a relatively simple red.
Apologes Neil as it seems as you got a kick on that red.

He may look "arrogant" but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Jamie is the least arrogant player on the tour.
I love the game of snooker :) (even though my mates think that its just a load of balls :D )

                          • Yeah lots of misses and possible kicks, if the winner plays like this in the next match they'll be slaughtered out there.

                            • Robertson manages to pinch the 12th frame and now it's 6-6.
