That's a pretty amazing prospect! Stephen was there before them (1970's generation), and will stay there longer as well? Just like Steve Davis did with the 60's generation.

But I know what you mean. On some level I was thinking that - had Jamie Cope pulled through and excepting Hendry - this would be a WC where the next generation was truly taking over :snooker:

You'd have to say so. In general, there aren't all that many 30+ year olds in the top 16 or even 32. And the ones still there aren't playing as well as they should - Ebdon, Hendry, Doherty, Lee, King, Williams and a few others.

Add to that, these young guys (lets say young = sub 30) have experience. A lot of them have been in the 16 for a few years, so yeah, a changing is a coming.
