That was an excellent break by Murphy under pressure and considering where black & pink were at the start of the break. Congratulations, Shaun.. I'm very pleased for him and very well played Stephen.. Great tournament & a nice little bonus with his maximum break! :snooker:

Murphy-Hendry: Murphy to me in this one. He is not bothered by anything these days and he seems to be raising his game from one match to another. Hendry showed good form in the previous rounds and it will be hard to maintain that form, one week session and it could be over for him. So, ill go for Murphy in this quarter.QUOTE]
So much for ”Hendry the 8th”.......Shaun Murphy was the better player and he deserved to progress to the semis. And i think i was right with my analisys...one week session and that was that for Hendry.

Was this on topic or you are just bitter Hendry lost ?

Both players felt the pressure a bit. Murphy played some great snooker, but also made a lot of mistakes. If Hendry was really at his best, he could have punished him. You can't play perfect snooker all the time, but if Murphy wants to win the title, he needs to sustain the kind of form he showed in yesterday's evening session. Very good SF ahead of us, whether it's Murphy-Maguire or Murphy-Robertson.
