147! And I nearly missed it completely! Was watching the other match, then when it ended, Willie Thorne said to turn over to the other match, because we might be missing something good. Brilliant.

Great performance from Stephen Hendry. Even though none of the reds was in a bad position he had some difficult plants that he made and a excelent pot on the pink. Well done....147

Delighted for Hendry, I am stuck at work and look forward to seeing it on the BBC website :snooker: when I get home!

That wasn't a straightforward 147, some shots didn't look in, but it doesn't matter of course. Will it be the only one I wonder? There weren't that many attempts this year.

Congratulations, Hendry! I wondered if he's going land as low on the black as 14 years ago

Is Hendry the oldest player to make a competitive Maximum?

Davis is the oldest player on the Tour who has made a competitive max.

He wasn't 40 when he made his 147. In fact I don't remember anyone so Stephen might indeed be the oldest.

I meant that has any player ever made a competitive max at the age of 40? As far as I know nobody has...

I think Murphy will be quite happy with being only 5-3 behind after this session.
