Murphy responds well to take the final frame of the session with a break of 73 to be two frames down at 5-3.

Good thing for Stephen the session is over. He needs to calm down after all the emotions.

It has been a superb session of snooker though.

Vital that Hendry wasnt allowed to go 6-2 in front and that missed red from Hendry to let Murphy in was the lapse of concentration weve come to expect from Hendry over the past few seasons. Should be a cracking 2nd session.

In a way that maximum has cost him at least a frame, the break has come at a very good time for him though.
I love the game of snooker :) (even though my mates think that its just a load of balls :D )

Yeah, Murphy will be happy with 3-5. He could well make it 8-8 or even 9-7 tonight, but Hendry always seems to play a strong evening session. As long as it's not 6-10, Murphy still has every chance.

How did Allen and Day play?

Fast and fluent as expected. It was mostly 1-2 visit snooker (I didn't see the first 4 frames) with Allen winning the session 5-3.

That particular lapse in concentration can be attributed to the previous frame unlike in many other occasions over the past few seasons.

But mate you are spot on with your prediction of a cracking 2nd session !

Thanks, hoping to catch a bit of that match later.
