Neil wins 13-8 to move to the one table setup for the first time.

It would be good for the game if he were to reach a World Final or even it win it as it could spark much more interest down under.

I've expected a long final session between Maguire and Robertson, but Neil had other ideas. He was very impressive, I wonder how he would have reacted if Maguire could have won that last frame after he missed the pink, but we will never know now.. Murphy vs. Robertson should be a close one.

thats if it would get reported in the media here, unfortuately i think it would go largely unnoticed by tv news and print media, didnt hear a word about it when he won his first ranking event or any of the others

Great performance from Neil, i'm really pleased for him.....even more so as he's never beaten Maguire before. If he can continue the kind of form he produced tonight it should be a very very close match with Murphy.

Murphy will be a really tuff match for Robbo, he'll have to be at his very best to make it to the final, should be a great match to watch, cant wait.

He beat him in the quarter final of the Bahrain Championship.

He also has a decent record over Murphy with three final frame wins including the 2004 UK Championship Last 64 9-8 win and the 2005 UK Championship last 16 9-8 win

that's a little unfair that higgins and selby are meeting already now in the draw and 1 of them has to fall out...
and also I will not know whom to cheer for in the next match, whoever them meets allen...

There really wasn't another shot on. Did well though as Selby missed the next shot by quite some margin.
