Very good break. He always was in control and although none of the reds were in bad positions, he had some difficult pots he made like those plants and the pink. Great.....
"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White
ive been watching both tables for almost every session so far (i think ive missed 2 at the most) in this championship and i only missed this one cos i had my league match tonight.
i finally get home and check TSF to see how the snooker went and the first thread i see "hendry makes a 147" haha shoulda known.
still never seen one live, hopefully there will be another
Good for Hendry! great plant and push through, great pink, though he'd twitched that black though phewee
"It might not be on stats or titles but in terms of talent and the ability to play snooker erm......he's the best" Hendry's humbled words on Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Great for Stephen and his fans and those at the crucible to witness it live but.......
Like many have mentioned this week the pockets are playing very generously to put it mildly. Had he played on the table in China he'd have broken down about 3 times during that break as balls were hitting so far off the near jaw and dropping it was untrue, even down my club they would not have dropped.
Its a shame that conditions are so conducive to big breaks that it almost takes away some of the value of it but I suppose a max is a max and now its down in the history books but its certainly the easiest conditions Hendry has ever produced one in professional play.
