If everybody liked the same people then discussing snooker would get pretty boring pretty fast! And for me, I disagree about Davis and Hendry, they have a history, a character that makes me want to watch them play. Hendry was my favourite from childhood, so it always makes me happy to see him do well.

I see all your points about favourites etc but to sat Murphy doesnt have character then name HENDRY AND DAVIS as players that have????? :confusing:

Caracter and charisma for me are two different slightly different tings, albeit they often come together. Those two are Legends, they dont have to put up a show to be interesting. I am aware of Davis's reputation of a dull player, but things have changend. A little gesture from Hendry will be remembered more than someone eleses shouting. ( For the reason that he is usually so calm and consentrated. )

That doesn't mean I don't recognize Shaun's achievements or skills. It simply means that watching him doesn't get me into the game the way it does with Neil.

There's only one way how a player can win you over. And it's by what he does in the arena. No amount of talk about his greatness from fans, friends or commentators will change that.

Roy, try to accept that not everyone would put Shaun as their favourite for the final. You wouldn't want to read my complains about you not supporting Ali Carter enough either, would you?
