The way it normally works is that everyone will hate him while he's winning things and then in 25 years when he's not much good he'll be the most popular player on the circuit

If everybody liked the same people then discussing snooker would get pretty boring pretty fast! And for me, I disagree about Davis and Hendry, they have a history, a character that makes me want to watch them play. Hendry was my favourite from childhood, so it always makes me happy to see him do well.
