Tonight has shown that in this age of attacking snooker, if an old style matchplayer uses a bit of tactical superiority they can expose the younger player's lack of knowledge

Higgins completely outdid Murphy and there's no way back as far as I'm concerned

I dont think Murphy lacks KNOWLEDGE In-off but i agree this match is probably over.

We shall see, if Higgins can match frame for frame though with little errors we don't know.

He lacks knowledge when it comes to safety play, that much was clear tonight.

He played some poor shots. For instance, there was a frame where he was snookered on two reds. One was safe, one was in the middle of the table. He attempted to move the safe red!

This was madness as it was his only insurance.

It's all well and good when the pots are flying in but if you can't see a ball you need a solid safety game to fall back on and, on the evidence of tonight, Murphy doesn't have one.

Against most players this doesn't matter but against someone like Higgins it has cost him in a big way.

A commanding lead going into tomorrow, but he must remember to keep the presure up and i fear there will be no way back for Murphy
