It comes to a staggering £925 for a season ticket with an increase of £2 per session. Now I may be completely wrong but when Embassy were sponsors a season ticket cost around £400/£500.

Because World Snooker cannot find a sponsor they are making the viewer pay for it. If every seat is sold for every session it will make £897,250.

Looks like I may have to put off getting a season ticket now. grrr

The prices have been rising steadily each year for a few years.

It must, however, hardly be a surprise that the absence of a sponsor would likely lead to higher ticket prices and lower prize money.
