Worldsnooker mentions a 2-0 lead for Belgium, however on the livescores it's a 3-1 lead to Brazil ?

                Great crowds!

Also amusing hearing Joe Johnson trying to pronounce the players' names.

What a cracking start to the competition, perhaps its the format, the conditions, or simply good or bad play as the case may be, but certainly looks like this could be a fun competition. I feared that we would end up with a string of 5-0 scorelines, but so far so good.

Am I write that there is $700,000 (£440,000) up for grabs in Prize Money, if so that seems like an awful lot for basically an invitation tournament with less than half of the 40 players being Main Tour Pros.

Does anyone have a breakdown of how the PM will be shared out ?

Not a fan. Scotch doubles does not work for snooker and the format is encouraging slow play. The crowds seem awful too.

The crowds will pick up as the tournament progresses.

just watching Egypt vs Germany singles with Wael Talat vs Patrick Einsle. It is the first time i have seen these two players and they both have unusual techniques. Wael Talat adresses the ball with his cue over to the right of the white then moves it over and Patrick Einsle has his cue near enough directly under his eye, closer to his jaw than his chin. Never seen that before, but it obviously works for them.

After the first day, almost everyone are shocked by the result.

                                Group A
The most surprised result is Pakistan defeated Ireland, which Sahid Aftab defeated both Doherty and O'Brien.

Now Egypt and Germany are in battle, tied 1-1 at present. In Africa, Egypt, Libya and South Africa are the top gear, especially Egypt; Germany is in the bad status because of bad result in Europe events. In my opinion, Germany does not sure to win.

                                Group B
This group is normal today, Australia and China both defeated Thailand-1 and Malta. In the early stage, Thai-1 was doing well; but after the doubles match, Thai-1 made main mistakes and lost. Afterwards, the situation turns one-sided.

About China vs Malta, I didn't watch yet but I know Ding made a break of 120 to win.

                                Group C
The main focus is Brazil defeated Belgium. Whatever Igor Figueiredo does not attend or the opponents are professional and talented, they still took the victory; Haneveer did not in the good condition.

On the other side, Northern Ireland swept India 4-1, Allen seems in good fit.

                                Group D
After wedding, Marco still not in the condition, and Fung had a little bit decline at recent, finally lost. But Kacper Filipiak got his first win during being professional, will he be same as Luca Bresel?

Although Thailand-2's Thepchaiya Un-Nooh wins all matches, but Passakorn Sunwannawat lost all single matches, almost lost in first round.
