That shouldn’t be the case though; one of the losers in the last qualifying round should get the place.

no if you loose you lost and out of that tournament i don't believe in the lucky loser thing they have in tennis however these days with the PTC i think theres a case to give a wild card to say the highest place amateur.

Brecel isn't doing nearly as well as I'd expected. Disappointing.

yes I agree - these "young" lads are effectively in their "first term" at school - they're just here to learn now... next season they'll be ready to sit "the tests" maybe.

Good to see Darren Morgan back in a pro event - resplendent in his Welsh Waistcoat!

people on forums has actually said they fancy Brecel for top 24 in the PTC and Ive just thought to myself if his expectation is as high as some people the lad will be very disappointed in himself and it might hold him back.

i just hope he is more realistic and grounded than that.

Ronnie did better when he was his age, and a lot of people compare the two.

Ronnie was not a Pro Player at 15 Ronnie Turned Pro 6 months short of his 17th birthday in the summer of 1992 in Blackpool.

Good to hear that old pros like Darren Morgan can still play, hope to see him do well in the seniors event.

Shame about Reanne losing again but hopefully she can keep building on her experiences and do well in the best of 9 and longer frame matches.

I know, just saying he did better regardless of pro status

thing is people getting caught up in the new Ronnie they forget he is the first brecel any 2 players not the same talent is a very small ingredient to making it big.

every player on tour has talent.
