    Not sure if this has been posted but I got this from World Snooker.

    World Snooker
    There is only one table. Play will start at the allocated time each day with at least a 5 minute interval between matches.

    The draw up to and including the Semi Finals will be made on a random basis.

    All matches up to and including the SFs will be best of 5 frames and the Final will be best of 9 frames.

    One thing I can see from that, what time are they expecting the Final to finish, especially if we have a repeat of the World Final. 9 possible frames starting at 8pm.

    Yes, but it's only 9 frames, not 11. The winner only needs 5 frames to win also. You must remember, the players (especially in SF2) will probably need rest in between the matches. This format will work exceptionally well IMO.

      Looking forward to this and think it will generate a lot of interest for the game. The whole concept is good, shorter matches, one table, able to watch all the players etc. Also an open draw which makes for an even contest instead of the higher ranked players given an easier ride. Can't wait now for the 18th as there are some cracking matches right from the off.
