I wonder how much Verhaas had bet on Ronnie making a 147 today. I'd like to see him forcing the players to pot the last black when they are already past the winning line from now on.

It's disgraceful and it should be investigated.

It was a fairly crap interview but you can tell he obviously dislikes Rob Walker(understandable) - he adopts a very hostile attitude whenever he has to talk to him, as we saw in the w/c "If anyone else says I set too high a standard for myself I'm gonna end the interview cos I'm sick of hearing it"

The game of the first round so far has to be Selby vs Hawkins. Hawkins played extremely well and was the deserved winner over Mark. Mark didn't play to bad, it was just all in patches.

yes, Rob Walker was slightly, ever so slightly (not) over the top when interviewing O'Sullivan but the point is, he doesn't care about what the "fans" think - he doesn't care if the fans miss out on a 147 (looked like a double hit to me, on the black.....

"I've made 10....blah blah.........." "..all forms of snooker are enjoyable......" (except the World Champs maybe???)

Really enjoying the World Open, having got to see players I wouldn't hvae been able to see because of multi-table formats has been great. And there's 6 more days of it. Will be interesting to see if Harold can repeat his success from the last round against Cope tonight! Imo, World Open = Success!
