Excellent player with loads of cue power, but he really had a super tough draw playing Williams in form. If he survives his first year on the Main tour, that will be a great achievement.

He's got a lovely cue action. His clearance in the first frame to get his arm going was pretty fluent and I think it spurred Mark to remain focused and apply more pressure for the remainder of the match having seen how well Igor could play:snooker:

Well that shot on the Yellow certainly made up for all the bad shots he played..

Igor gets that first of all because he is a big and powerful guy and can accelerate the cue at a more rapid pace without causing movement in his body. For power shots he also uses a long backswing and good follow-through coupled with a loose grip that has a bit of wrist action in it.

I think I might start lifting weights so I can increase my rate of acceleration to something like his
