I didn't expect such a thrashing, but there you go...

Robertson really played great stuff for most of the match, and he only gained in confidence when O'Sullivan started missing a few. He really does impress me, not lost in a ranking final yet (although this was only a one-session match), but not only that, he has a very good percentage of winning titles once he reaches the QF stage of tournaments. He didn't play exceptionally well earlier in the week, but once again, he raised his game on the last day. I bet he wishes there were some upcoming tournaments for him to capitalize even more on his good form.

Nice to see O'Sullivan in a good mood after a defeat as well.

So... a long wait until December now...

Ronnie has been giving loads of chances to everyone this week but Maguire. I'm glad someone finally took them.

100% outclassed by the Thunder from Down Under.

Well done Neil, played with the true Aussie spirit.

You have proven you do own that No.1 spot and of course the crown of world champion.

            Go the Aussie :snooker:

Well done to Robbo. He had the courage to capitalise on Ronnie's mistakes/bad luck.

Beginning to look like we have another 'real champion' here, which can only be good for the game.

                  Fair play Robbo.

He played well, obviously had quite a bit of luck go his way to still capitalized brilliantly.

It seems the Robbo's and Selby's of this world are on the cusp of knocking Ronnie and Higgins off their perch.

Shame, as I like both Ronnie and Higgins.

Congratulations Robbo. Keeping his 100% record in ranking events finals is quite remarkable:snooker:

I loved the 72 break from Ronnie in the third, even more impressive than his maximum given how the balls were

It was a great tournament, I thoroughly enjoyed it

Even though it turned out to be a one-sided final, I still found it to be thoroughly entertaining. Robertson looked totally focused throughout the match, and is a worthy winner. Nice to see O'Sullivan so gracious in defeat..

Robertson's game was the highest of standard last night. I must say that I didn't expect him to play that well but like Ronnie I take my hat off to Neil. He is indeed performing like a World Champ and World no 1 should. Well done and congratulations!

Neil has play unbelievably well. Ronnie seemed very motivated and willing to fight for the trophy but he never had the chance in that match .. What a performance by Neil.. He never missed a shot and Ronnie was in trouble almost every time when he was at the table.
Also,Neil was a bit lucky on couple of occasions (for example that nudge on the green during his final clearance) and Ronnie was really unlucky when he got in-off and at the end when potted cue ball and yellow ball. It was Neil's night and he crushed Ronnie. My girlfriend, new snooker fan btw, said during the match:"Poor Ronnie,he's sitting in his chair all the time" and I think that sums it up best. Neil was playing,Ronnie was admiring.

I was glad to see, again, a lot of mutual respect between two players and it was nice to see Ronnie praising other player and chatting with Neil after he has lost the match.

But for me it was so funny when Neil said well Ronnie you are still one level above all of us. It looks to me like everyone are trying to motivate Ronnie to stay in the game
You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table
                            BTW vucko means wolfie

Neil was so strong. The scary thing is that he's going to get even better as he's still quite young. Ronnie had to pull of something really really special to win.

You think so? I think, along with Mark Williams, he will start as favourite! The longer format will give'em a chance to recover if they're having a bad session:snooker:
