don't see others psychologically mature enough not to flop constantly in every single session.
stevens gets good for a match (or even two incl last Qual round) and then reverts to miss-fest frames again.
gould... well maybe he would have done better than against murphy in PTC Finals final in a much longer format match.
allen, ali, fu, maguire... dont know if they're ready yet (or anymore) to go all the distance. or at the moment.
higgins, MJW, murphy, robbo, [ronnie], dott, those are ready.
ebdon ready too for sure, just the form aint there anymore.
who and how good is Jimmy Robertson? the only new face this year.Co-winner of Spike’s 2009 UK Championship number of centuries prediction contest.
RIP Noel. RIP.

Stephen Lee has been in great form lately, so I think he could be a contender. Higgins and Williams are obviously favorites, especially Higgins. I hope Williams would finally get past second round but he's got a tricky first round draw, so does Higgins. But there are many others who has a great chance to reach the final and win it, Robbo, Selby, Murphy, Dott... And you never know about Ronnie, he'll hardly lose in early rounds. I wouldn't rule him out by no means. So hard to pick a clear favorite.
Some people have mentioned Gould. I think he doesn't have the game to win it. He's a way too aggressive (even suicidal) at times. He gave hard time for Robbo last year and then threw it away. So IMO he has to develop to have any chance.

There hasn´t been so much focus on the top draw, but someone from there has to go all the way to the final. Looking at the latest results Ding and Selby must be the most obvious choices, I can see Robertson breaking the jinx though.
My favorits are still Williams and Higgins, but the bottom half looks so tough with onform players like Day, Murphy and Lee plus O´Sullivan that whoever comes through might be mentally drained when he comes to the final. I would really love to see Williams and Higgins battling it out in the semifinals.....its not called potting its called snooker. Quote: WildJONESEYE
