Hope ronnie gets his act together for this tournament, be a shame if he comes in and plays as if he doesnt care, like he has been doing.

Chance of gouldie playing robertson again, be great if they met and he avenged last years defeat, a match he should have wrapped up convincingly.

I think with Ronnie its very difficult to say what his mindset is now his father has been released from prison. It seems to me like he's catching up with the childhood he never really had given that he was thrust into snooker at such an early age and with all the problems he's had in his life perhaps now he doesn't want to give so much time to snooker in favour of spending it with his family.

Its tough to juggle both and what it does prove is although he looks like such a natural talent, a lot of that stems from a lot of practice. Now he isn't putting the practice in and people think its because he's not trying but I think its because without the practice he isn't really able to compete at the top level. Ronnie does need to decide what he wants now, does he still want to compete and win titles or does he prefer spending time with his family, unfortunately he can't have both. The China open will give us an indication of where his standing in the game is right now.

Even if he's going, The China Open hasn't been reflective of his form in the past five years or so...

For example, he lost 0-5 to Wattana in the opening round of 2006 then reached the SF of the WC.

He reached the SF & lost 2-6 to Dotty in 2007 then lost in the QF of the WC to an incredible Higgins.

He lost his opening round 4-5 to Fu in 2008 then won the WC.

He reached the QF & lost 4-5 to Higgins in 2009 then lost in the second round of the WC.

Last year, he lost 3-5 to Tian Pengfei in the opening round then lost his QF match in the WC.

I could never judge his form based on how he performs in The China Open!!!

I can see Mark King reaching at least the Quarter final this year

Q: What do you get if you cross Jimmy White with Neil Robertson?

                  Neil White and Jimmy Roberston!

But how do they share losing 6 WC finals & never losing in a final among them?

Dale too, though I think Ronnie will motivate himself for the 1st round atleast.

I personally miss seeing him play good snooker throughout a tournament but sadly I can't see it happening this year.
                    Agreed, sadly

Ronnie playing well is the best sight in snooker. Hope it happens.

If Robertson and Gould get through, I wonder if Robertson will pull the same ungentlemanly flanker he did last year by disappearing out of the arena between frames and putting Gould off of his game. Hopefully this year, the referees will be a bit more stricter. Had it been me refereeing and he done that, I would have given him a warning.

Ronnie always does this kind of thing.

He'll probably smash everyone at the WC's.

For that he should be training 24/7 starting at this moment, maybe even missing China for this.

                          Now how likely is that?

I think that I would take that wager. I think the spread will be less than 3 in favor of lee.

                            Lol

You say that from the comfort of your home, but I doubt you would if you were there!! How can the referees be stricter in this situation? If a grown man says to you i'm going to the toilet, would you honestly say no you're not?

Does anyone know who is refereeing the final of the World Champs this year? I hope it's either Jan Verhaas or Brendan Moore.
