  • Robertson upbeat over title defence

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/snooker/12991249.stm

Neil Robertson has warned his rivals he has yet to reach his peak as he aims to become the first first-time winner to defend the World Snooker Championship.

The Australian, who beat Graeme Dott in last year's final, faces China Open winner Judd Trump in the first round.

"I'm only 29, so I'd love to win more world titles and also the UK and Masters crowns," he told BBC Sport.

"I need to get the best out of my talent and I still haven't made the most of my natural ability."

He added: "I'm good enough to win multiple world titles

Can Robertson break the Crucible curse?

      No....

Not going very far this year...IMO, I feel he's been breaking down more and more during this season and he will fall early on during this years World's...

I think he´s the type of player that could break the jinx, and if he should get to a final. I wouldn´t count him off. I expect him to go out in the quarters though.

            You wish.......

You say this every tourney the boy enters, listen to you nobody else stands a chance...

Don't get me wrong i like robbo, a fellow lefty like, but he's off home early this year....

He started the season quite good and just slipped away after a few tourney's, he's on the way down from his magnificent high, not to mean he's finished by any means, i mean he's done for this season at least...IMO of course....

You can still hope though ...

Not at all, I agree 100% with what Robbo says. We haven't seen his best yet, but in this format we might just see it this time around.
              Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!
