  • Just a week to go now, can't wait...

I'm already getting butterflies! Got a feeling it's going to be a classic tournament this year. There are some new faces I haven't seen in the worlds before, and a few old ones I never expected to see there again, great stuff. I'm really looking forward to the opening matches between Robbo and Trump, and Williams and Day.

So roll on next Saturday, and in the immortal words of MC RW,
LETS GET THE BOYS........... ON THE BAIZE!!

    The fast and the furious,
    The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

First day matches are looking good, just moved and got virgin tv so I have both red button tables to watch this year after missing it for a few when freeview dropped to one stream.

I am going for a Robertson/Williams final and Ronnie not to win a match, but i don't mind if he shows some form as i'm not a hater just a reader of form.

Also good luck to Allen, i hope he is a frame of mind to play well.

You really think Dominic Dale will beat Ronnie?
After the poor season Ronnie's had, surely he'll be up for the worlds, and if he's up for it, he's got to at least beat DD, hasn't he?

gotta say even though he hasn't showed good form recently, Ronnie's always got up for the Worlds. 8/1 odds for him could be worth a squirt.

                  that not strictly true.

he has had quite a few collapses 2005 and 2006 to name 2 years he self combusted.

Yep, gotta say it's more likely he self combusts this year than lifts the trophy.

Shock results happen now and then. Just remember Steve Davis reaching the quarter-finals last year.

Ronnie could very well get past Dale!

Should Ronnie O'Sullivan win the World Championship this year he will be only the third man, after Alex Higgins and Joe Davis, to win the title 10 years after his first one

Should Stephen Hendry win the World Championship this year he will be only the second man, after Joe Davis, to win the title 21 years after his first one.
