Ok, er should Peter Edbon win the World Championship this year he will only be the second man after Joe Davis to win the title 9 years after his first one.

I can understand this opinion but I like watching Ebdon, he's unpredictable and occasionally very aggressive, and very occasionally plays at a brisk pace, though speed for me isn't necessary for enjoyable Snooker.
He must be aware by now he winds people up that just makes them vulnerable to him. I'm sure he's not stupid so I'd call him audacious as far his popularity and shot selection goes, no one else would dare play the way he does for fear of being 'unpopular'.

Indeed, Ebdon is probably one of the most attacking and creative players on the circuit. It's sad that the occasional slower match has gained him this bad reputation... very unfair also.

he has had quite a few collapses 2005 and 2006 to name 2 years he self combusted.

He made the semi's in 05 and the quarter's in 06! Even when he combusts he make's it quite deep! (I know he's gone out early like in 09). I'm not a ronnie fan, just thought his odds looked quite good??!
