First time in a long time i've thought The Hurricane/Whirlwind faithful might have another hero coming through in Trump, its early days but who knows, i like the way he plays the game and maybe more importantly he'll appeal to a new audience as well, generating interest in the game which can only be a good thing, look forward to seeing how he progresses.

      Superb! Nice one, Trump.

Murphy is in for a tough afternoon tomorrow...

I think Trump has a good chance of making it to at least the quarter-finals, I think on current form he is cueing well enough to edge past either Fu or Gould, and having disposed of Robertson his confidence is going to be at an all time high, which will make him a very dangerous animal..

I don't know if there's a record for the lowest number of points scored at the Crucible, but Campbell might be on track for that record having scored less than 140 points in 9 frames this night.

On a more positive note, well done for Trump, really good match and a big victory.

9-0 after the first session. Here's a good source for results/frame scores: http://www.snooker.org/res/index.asp?event=28

Isn´t it right that a whitewash will be a new record for the cruicible ? There has been a few 10 - 1 results.

It feels a bit disappointing with my favorit player already out, unfortunately I couldn´t follow the match, but it seems like Trump continued, where he left off. Some quite heavy scoring from both players as well.

Looks like Murphy was really impresive, 9 50+ in 9 frames.

Now there´s a match report on worldsnooker, and I can see that John Parrot has whitewashed Eddie Charlton in 1992.

Unfortunately i had to go out and watch a couple of very dirty strippers lol, so missed tonights play, but i watched every frame this afternoon, and so pleased for Judd, sounds like it was hard work but he triumphed thats the main thing.....so i and 6 other people were right on the prediction thread that he would win

Trump is very good at break building but will need to curb his attacking style slightly to beat the better players. Robertson plays the same game as him but was terrible at times today and this played into Trumps hands.
He should have hammered Neil but was a bit careless and almost payed for it.

It looks like Jan Verhaas has lost a bit of hair recently. His receding hairline is looking more and more like Steve's receded hairline

Robertson was patchy in his first round loss to Trump. Some frames he played great stuff, others he looked slightly out of sorts somewhat. Personally i thought he played a different game to what we usually see him play, it didnt look like he was attempting many long shots instead he chose to pay safeties... i know he found a balance in his game of safety and long potting and it worked but yesterday i just feel he refused to many and Judd took more risks
