Quite a good session from Trump and Robertson, might get even better tonight.
Andrew Pagett missed a few good chances to be ahead after first session looked very nervous. I hope he will play better in the second session, but Jamie also can play a lot better.

Both matches are tight 5-4 in favour of Cope and Trump, didn't expect Pagett to play so well on his debut.

Robertson looked very nervy early on but seems to have settled now, 2 tons shows he's playing well. Think the nerves might just get the better of Trump in the end, his shot selection is far too aggressive for me, he's had a good run of the ball which has helped him to the lead IMO.

Does anybody know if your 2nd session is always on the same table ??? I presume it is for consistency but not sure if it is the case or not.

Yeah all the top half of the draw will be playing on the one table and the bottom half will play on the other, all the way to the semi finals I believe.

Is it me or does the BBC HD feed look no different from the normal one, very poor indeed compared to the F1 feed.

Williams wins the first frame with a top break of 14. Typical.

Has there ever been a more muscular opponent on the snooker circuit than Dave "the Butcher" Harold?

Muscular? Not the word I would use to describe the man...

And if you bet on this sort of thing, more fool you. Once the frame is safe a player can do whatever he likes (apart from when on a max and refusing to play final black like Ronnie lol)
I should have said the highest break of the match I meant, I haven't bet on it, but 129 for highest in the match takes some beating, suppose it depends on whether u like clearing up or not totally!!

Dave Harold would be a much better player if he adopted a more orthodox cue action, and played faster.

Bets wise I've gone for Williams vs Day under 1.5 centuries in the first session, going well so far!!! High breaks I've gone for Carter high break on the other table!!

Great point, he's done quite well for himself for someone without loads of talent but he's got about as far as he was able to I think, still dangerous and will likely have a couple more good results in his time, but I'd fancy Carter due to his scoring!
