I only saw the last two frames but what a final frame twist and turns, there we really got to see that they are human after all. I had seen Stevens winning this two times and Allen as well befor he finally got over the line. And what a sweet little girl Mark Allen has got seeing her smile was worth it all.

Wasnt it the most adorable thing ever, beautiful little girl, that smile was priceless, I wanted to hug her she was so happy!! I'm sure she's got the beautiful Northern Irish accent too!!! Those scenes will stay with me for a while at the end, wonderful scenes, what a great win, hope he does well!!! Feel a bit for Stevens, of the two Allen made the higher breaks so just about deserved to win, proper grit and determination there, feel a bit for Mathew, but as I'm sure he'll say, he had more than enough chances

That was a good final frame or two but until about 9-7 it didn't look like Mark was that bothered about it, he was lucky to get so many chances but Stevens just couldn't get over the line in my view.

I didn't look before but does anyone know what the odds were when it was 9-6, i knew i should have put a fiver on then.

I am glad he got though and maybe that will boost his interest/effort in the next round as he did seem to enjoy the win once his daughter was there.

I do not want to be harsh but I gotta say: Mathew you lost a fan today!!! It is OK to lose but it is not OK to lose like this. Mark Allen deservedly won, at least he could still hold the cue under the pressure while Mathew was just trembling. I am gutted because I have been a long time fan but this performance removes any doubt anyone ever had that he does not belong among the top guys.

Yeah Allen has a cute lil daughter.

From what I saw, neither Allen or Stevens played their best snooker last nigth. Stevens obviously had his chances. It almost seemed like Allen only woke up for the last few frames.

As for Stevens' trembling, shaking, etc. Yes, he must have felt the pressure, and let it get to him. Having lost that many close matches in the Crucible surely had something to do with it. Too many ghosts bothering Matthew last nigth, I'm afraid.

Either way, I'm pleased to see Allen go through, but can't help feeling a bit sad for Stevens. It just wasn't ment to be for him this time (again).

Ah Matthew always seems to struggle, when I watch his game. That makes me sad, he is with MJW my favourite. At least he will be in TOP 16.
