One gets the feeling that Jan Verhaas brings out the best in Ronnie and that the Dutchman enjoys officiating his matches

He's gave him a little help in the past on a number of ocasions yeah.

Murphy insists on missing sitters (79% pot success). That's the only reason why Ronnie 'Alprazolam' O'Sullivan is still in contention on this session.

I was looking forward to this match, but so far it's been a bit underwhelming, very poor standard for these two. O'Sullivan mostly misses the shots that are even a little bit tricky, while Murphy is not there at all at the moment.

Carter-Dott match is much more interesting. O'Sullivan-Murphy hasn't offered what some people would've expected...

You know, when a snooker player I really dislike is playing a match, and there's a match on the other table, I'll watch the other match.

Just back in from lunch, the Carter-Dott match is getting very interesting, but I'm sticking with Ronnie's one for now.

Murphy 84% and Ronnie 87% pot sucess after 6 frames. What a joke of a match, making Walden-McLeod look brilliant at the moment.

Great win for Dott, the quarter-final against Trump should be an interesting match.

It wasn't a great session, but it could prove important in the context of the match. If Murphy does find his form, he now has a bit of work to do to get back into the match. O'Sullivan might need to raise his game as well to avoid a comeback.

A shame that I didn't get to see the conclusion of Carter-Dott, even though David Hendon was convinced it was on Eurosport2. Unfortunately I always seem to get German football over the weekend.

Surely Walden McLeod was worse than O'Sullivan Murphy!! Dott Carter first session was worse than O'sullivan Murphy and that match wasnt as bas as Walden McLeod by most people's accounts I think, why the hate for Ronnie, dont u like him playing well? Are u that sad that u can't appreciate a genius of the game? Just watch the other match please, ur mother never taught u "if u haven't got anything nice to say, dont say nothing", negative people get nowhere in life, just enjoy the snooker for god's sake!!

Clash of styles, I would actually fancy Dott for that one!!

                        • Another great win by Dott. The guy never knows when he is beaten. I agree that he may just have too much experience for Trump over 25 frames.

Must have been a bitter flavor reason why you started a thread on TSF for probably 1st time in your life

Just wondering who's doing worse - u or tsf.

I quite like that lesson, I'm sure Murph is getting a fair share of pleasure too
Just wondering where Ronnie got his haircut, what a meh.

Let's wait till we see SF lineup...

Onto the other side of the draw: how far can boy Trump go?!

                            • Hah, I actually mentioned how much I liked Ronnie's hair! It's certainly an improvement. He's looking quite good this tournament, the grey shirt is a nice look, I think.
