Selby has nothing to be proud of, he din't play on because he thought he had a great chance of getting four snookers, the balls weren't pefectly placed at first, wouldn't mind if he earned the four snookers through great play, but he didn't, there were some good snookers but ultimatley he won by gamesmanship what next? Play on when you need ten snookers? It's such a shame after making six centuries that you need to keep going until your opponent concedes enough points through bad running.
What makes it all the more jarring is that in the preceding frame, after missing a red, Selby he left Hendry snookered behind the brown, after Hendry's escape I thought Selby had a real chance to show some class, I felt his condesending smirk and tap on Hendry's back was unsporting. I know Hendry has on many occasion benefited from the run of the ball but he has also turned down opportunities he felt he didnt earn, he has always called fouls on himself, even when he knew it could lose him a match.
A thoroughly classless display.
