What is going on on the table behind where Hazel, Steve, Ken, etc. sit, is it free coaching or a "fun" competition?

cue zone mate, there is a bit of coaching and some fun contests going on. last year they had a thing were you had to pot so many balls within a minute. i tried it a few times and thought i did really good only to find out that i was pants lol nice to play on star table all the same.
