Trump is a confident little boy right now. Not afraid of any pot.

Trump is playing too good, Dott did well to not go 8-0 behind

He won't be allowed to play with this freedom all the way to the trophy. If he plays a Higgins, Selby or O'Sullivan he will need to call on a tactical side that he currently doesn't possess.

It's rare that wild potters win world championships.

This. The only frame he's won was stolen with a snooker. crazy.

I think Murphy was quite wild potter when he won aswell.
Dott is really in bad situation, has to win the evening session 6-2

No. He had a very good tactical and safety game last year.

You need all parts of the game.

Murphy won it without much safety and I can see a lot of similarities to Trump this year from when Murphy won it.
Also I take it you didn't watch the China open final where he competed and in some cases outplayed Selby of all players in the tactical battle, certainly didn't look like he was lacking in knowhow. Dott is as good a tactician as there is and hasn't come up with an answer. Put simply he is such a good potter and break builder it will put pressure on anyones safety, regardless how good they are.

I didn't watch it, no. But I know that a single best-of-nineteen is a lot different than playing 5 extremely long matches at the Crucible.

And Murphy had some great safety in 2005, it's just his long potting got all the attention.

I really don't think this has much bearing to be honest as with any snooker match you play it is mini sessions. 8 frames at a time. The way he plays he doesn't take much out of himself unlike a Selby or Dott who need to put in a lot of concentration as they don't possess a natural snooker game. If Trump was going to struggle he would have by now, he has already played a best of 19 and 25 and is pretty much halfway towards making the semi's. This game could be so short that he will be the freshest player in the tournament. The only thing that can stop him IMO is the pressure of knowing he can win the title, nobody is playing better snooker right now.

Trump is very fluent right now, but to be fair nobody has played well against him so far. Neither Robertson or Gould were themselves - or even, so far, Dott.

We'll see what he's got when he's playing someone in form.
