As with Trump, he's cueing beautifully but hasn't really been in a match yet. (ok, Trump-Robertson was close, but Trump could have won that match easier).

Ding will have some real confidence after last night. Selby won't have it as easy as his first two matches.

I've been most impressed with O'Sullivan so far. OK he hasn't had the tons Selby has, but his second round match was far more difficult than Selby's.

          anyone agree
Agreed. Williams has got two semi final wins over Higgins at the Crucible. They maybe a long time ago but could give MW the psychological edge if they play again.

Likewise, O'Sullivan leads Williams 3-0 at the Crucible. Obviously MW is playing a lot better this year than recent years but the head to head may still be a crucial factor.

I am surprised to see the 7-1 scoreline. It looks like I missed a great display of snooker from Trump. I will have to see it after tonight's session.

How did Williams and Allen play? Worth watching as well?

Nope, I don't have that option unfortunately. But it will be available on Eurosport player later in the day anyway.

The matches this morning were really great, worth watching both of them.

Agree totally, Ronnie has a stinker of a draw tbh!! I hope he does it, I'd love Ronnie to win 5 or 6 titles or more, he's SO talented, focused he's virtually unbeatable!

IF he gets far enough, the 16 centuries from Hendry record for the crucible could be under threat, unbelieveable stuff from Selby this tournament for the tons!!!!

Just before anyone says Selby's incredible easy world champs win, he doesnt have a good record in ranking finals (that doesnt include his masters wins), he seems to run out of gas and lose close in finals, not sure why, I actually dont fancy Trump for the title, u need a REASONABLE safety game to win the worlds, just think that he will be ground down by a higgins/osullivan or Selby over the 3 days (assuming he makes the semis). I fancy Higgins/O'sullvan for the title myself!!

Greatest break builder ever? O'sullivan, Higgins, Hendry, they often ask that, Ronnie not far behind Hendry, but Hendry holds lots of records, it's got to be Hendry, it's not arguable really, by that I mean not with stats at least!!

I was looking this one, great match, MJW made some great steals, his pot success was I think 95%, Mark Allen made some great breaks but stopped somewhere around 60 3 times which was not enough. 3 centuries so far, 2 by Allen, one by Mark. Great match I think

while i recognize hendry is the better man in the stats. he had a longer career than ronnie.
if one ever does make the effort of century/frame in their both careers (i made a post about earlier this year, something like "the true century master"), one would then really find out who is the greatest in this field. if anything i wont be surprised if it werent for them.

but amongst the 3, i pick ronnie, not because im a ronnie fan, but because ronnie's breakbreaking has always been highly emphasized from break-building aroudn the black spot area, especially screwing into the pack from the black. the black adds a lot of value.
