  • I think before the match both players would have taken 8-8 after sixteen frames.

    • Higgins/O'Sullivan has 12-12 written all over it..

      • Huh, that never looked like going 8-8, Higgins will be delighted. But he didn't really get back into the match with superb play, it was more O'Sullivan making unnecessary mistakes.

O'Sullivan looked the better of the two for most of the session, so I wouldn't put it past him to play a strong session tonight. Having said that, when the pressure is really on, it's tough to bet against Higgins, especially considering how some of their recent meetings went.

The match between Selby and Ding could still be quite interesting as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of long frames, with the balls going awkward.

That's absolutely brilliant!!!! Fancy Higgins now, HOW is he 8 all? He is the best in the world at scrapping out frames and sessions, how he got 8 all is virtually a miracle, like Spike says, 12 all coming up!!!!

                        • I agree. For most of the session, it was Higgins, who cracked under pressure and only recovered to draw level with the aid of Ronnie's errors..

Overall O'Sullivan played the better in the second session, even though the 8 frames were shared, but for you to say Higgins is "lucky" to be still in it is wrong. Higgins dug deep and with a little help from O'Sullivan's poor safety in the last couple of frames helped..

Higgins is lucky to be still in it, and not because of ronnies poor safety, because he was in and ahead and should of had the frames wrapped up, without having to play any safetys whatsoever.
