Betfred.com World Snooker Championship Q-Final Discussion
Ouch, poor Ding. Selby is such a lucky player. He seems to get away with everything, like he did against Hendry.
I think Ding really needs this frame.
Couldn't agree more, also Selby has really slowed it down as usual, shame refs aren't strong enough to have a word with him, took nearly two minutes to pot a red there which just isn't on IMO.
Mark Selby is having so much luck that i don't think ding is gonna pot another ball , plus Selby has slowed the pace down so much in this match that he should get a warning
What a nervy shot that was from O'Sullivan. He's missed a few in this match, but not sitters like that.
He's played quite a few like that against Higgins in recent years, the one in the 2009 Grand Prix being particularly memorable. I can't help thinking the poor head-to-head record he has against Higgins recently is on his mind.
fair play to Selby - come on Ding, come out after the interval and show what you can do.
btw for those of you who know the rules why wasn't Selby called for a foul and miss on the last red - I know Ding needed millions of snookers but Selby could see the red and if he missed it 3 times he would forfeit the frame.........
Can't say I'm looking forward to Higgins in the final. He's bores me rigid and is absolutley void of flare and style. I don't care how good he is, it's no substitute for flare and style.
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"
Re: the first frame of the Higgins - Ronnie evening session; can someone please explain what the rule is for foul and a miss, and the free ball. When does it become a free ball? What is the difference between foul, and foul and a miss?

With foul and miss the cue ball can be put back, can't with just a foul.
It's a miss if the player doesn't try hard enough to hit the ball (some BS along these lines) it's pretty much always a miss unless it's impossible to hit the ball. (or the player needs snookers)
free ball when it's a foul and the player can't hit both sides of the next object ball directly.
