Great response from Ding after losing the first four frames.
Before their SF clash at the China Open, I said that the winner would probably end up losing this match, and it's proved right. I guess it was a case of peaking too early for Selby, while Ding has looked better with every match.
It should be a really interesting match against Trump now.

A very interesting line up here. I think Ding has got the mental toughness now. At the UK final last year, he turned the match around when Higgins got up to him, he did the same in the Masters this year and have done it twice now in this tournament. I still have the feeling that the winner will come from the bottom part of the draw.
But I think it will be better for the game if one of the two youngsters wins. as it´s more appealing to the kids with two players in the twenties than two players at the same age as their father. Ding will lift the game even higher in China, and Trump is maybe the man to take over after O´Sullivan as the english hope.....its not called potting its called snooker. Quote: WildJONESEYE

Its been a good tournament so far, not as one sided as some in the past and its been wide open as to who the winner could be which is good to see.
Been some great matches, breaks, shots and lots of comebacks etc, nice to see Mark Williams doing well, in his usual casual manner. Highlight for me though has been Judd Trump, i love the way this kid plays the game reminds me of a young Jimmy White, throwing a few flare shots in for good measure.
First time in a long time i've thought the games in good shape with some of the players we have coming through, and many capable of winning things.
Anyway this has turned into a mini review now we're at the semi final stage not sure its even the right thread....lol , but would be interested to know what everyone else thinks about the tournament so far ?Last edited by CueAntW147; 27 April 2011, 10:42 PM.
