That was his most focused and solid performance in a tournament in months, he lost to a truly great player in Higgins, he didnt get battered, he looked up for the fight the last 2 weeks, I know ur not a Ronnie fan but he looked so much better than the last 9 months or so, Im not a ronnie fan unless he gives his best like this tournament, he sounded positive in his interview after, yeah he frustrates me when he doesnt give his best, if u thought his display was pathetic compared to some of his much worse displays last year when he wasnt focused then u dont know much about the game, he wasnt far off his best this tournament, only his ranking counted against him this tournament, that's why he ran into higgins due to being ranked 10, much lower than he should be!

only his ranking counted against him this tournament, that's why he ran into higgins due to being ranked 10, much lower than he should be!

He has had his fair share of free later stage passes in the past, running into players like Liu Chuang, Liang Wenbo, Andy Hicks, Anthony Hamilton and well past his best Hendry. Can't complain really.

He has, but he was ranked higher then, besides he could have had it tougher I'll admit, but they're not "free passes"! That's disrespectful to 2 very good young players and 2 experienced old pros! How higgins has won this session 6-2 God only knows, unbelieveable stuff from Higgins

That's due to a ridiculously good performance from Higgins of sticking in the match somehow, how he's winning he probably doesnt know himself, 12 all was fine, 13 11 is a MASSIVE bonus for him!

Just like in the previous session, Higgins really got the most out of it. I don't even remember Williams winning one single frame that could have gone either way.

If Higgins reaches the final, I think he will do so with one of the least impressive performances in recent times which, ironically, is quite impressive.
