Just like in the previous session, Higgins really got the most out of it. I don't even remember Williams winning one single frame that could have gone either way.

If Higgins reaches the final, I think he will do so with one of the least impressive performances in recent times which, ironically, is quite impressive.

lol I agree, not that it matters how u get to the final, though Higgins wont be getting any points for style!!! lol He's a remarkable player, he seems to get the most out of whatever performance he gives, whether that be breakbuilding machine or scrapping hard pro!

He wasnt THAT bad, Trump was FAR worse yesterday morning, he just couldn't quite finish a couple of frames off, he went to bits for a frame but he wasn't terrible for a long period of the session or anything!! I agree he is dangerous when backed into a corner, his ridiculous potting and knowledge of rolling balls and supreme knowledge of angles mean he can knock a long red in and clear up without a problem!!

John Higgins played awful snooker in patches of this session, in my opinion.

I honestly thought that was worse than Trump's bad session there (from Williams), his cueing went to pieces and practically gifted the last two frames to Higgins on a plate, what on earth was he doing with that last shot he played, presumably trying to knock the pink safe but all he had to do was go thin off the red and wait his chance, just went into total meltdown panic mode!!
Will be tough to keep Higgins down to just three frames tonight the way he picks off his opponent when theres a mistake. That said, you have to put it out of your mind and start afresh, theres only the minimum margin possible in it at this stage so if he can produce yesterdays form it could yet go down to the wire, not hopeful though (given that I have a bet riding on him for the title!).

Having said that, however, this match could end up 17-11 pretty easily, as well..

I would actually make Higgins my favourite for the title now, which is incredible considering the man's last twelve months. What a fairytale it would be if he won the title 12 months almost to the day after the scandal.

With everything that's happened in the past year, most people would be struggling to get out of bed. Higgins is pure granite.

Of course! It was here the scandal started, forgot it was this time last year, not thought about his scandal at all to be honest! He's had a great year success wise, he did extraordinary when he came back and he's carried that form on, he's an unbelieveable man, truly special in terms of spirit on and off the table!! If anyone's gonna be the next Steve Davis, it's gonna be him!

It was a sting operation from a newspaper (totally wrong, scummy stuff), his management did him no favours as well, he was in a situation he shouldn't have been put in, dont be silly it would be one of modern sport's greatest comebacks!! Why hate him? U should respect the great matchplay, bottle and determination he personifies, if half the players had half the skill and bottle he has under pressure there would be a few more all time greats for sure!!

LOL I want Ding to win for the sake of the final, should be closer with Ding in the final, Ding too good not to be in the final, he's won other events too, I hope it goes close and is quality though!!
